Holy COW

I forgot about my blog. Like seriously neglected it. We have since moved - 2 times. Once to Fort Worth, Texas and Now in Tucson, AZ Its been 3 years. My daughter-in-law is making me a grandma and my son a Father. Holly is on a mission France Paris Mission. Currently in Liege, Belgium Gotta get some unpacking done. Hopefully will post again soon.

Less than a week for wedding Fest 2013

Soooo The VanAukers will be taking off for California then St. George, utah, in less than 3 days. We are oober excited to share this exciting time known to us as Wedding Fest 2013. We have been crafting, sewing and creating wonderful things for this special time for Veronika and Taylor, and David and Nikki. We look forward to celebrating their special day with them. We also look forward to drinking up the sun out in the West and seeing family and friends we have not seen in a while. Holly will be attempting to get her license while we are out there. We will see what comes of that.

The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear!!! THis Christmas David came home - well - came to Rome. Georgia. Nikki - his fiance shared him with us. We were so happy to have him here. He teased his sisters and made our family complete. This year has been a busy one. David came home from his mission in March. We moved to Georgia. Mikes mom died. A little much but we got thru with our testimonies and our faith. We are so lucky to have each other. And we are even luckier to be able to add Nikki to our family as well. Here are a few pics from Christmas. Mostly food - but hey - isn't that what we do best at Christmas?? lol.

Sarah and the Valentines Banner

I create things all the time. I love it. Most of the things I create I see and copy - PINTEREST!! Or twist an idea to something that works. I really love to create with friends and family. They seem to keep me focused on the project more and chat at the same time.

I made a valentines banner with my friend Terina a couple of weeks ago. Then I thought how fun to have an Easter one. So I made one all by my lonesome. Any of you that know me I have a buttload of fabric - and scraps come easy. I am always looking for a way to use my 3 inch strips of fabric. lol.

The eggs and hearts are 2 3/4 inches tall by 2 inches wide. The banner backgrounds I cut 6 inches long and then folded over an inch over the ribbon and sewed them right onto the ribbon. I just used wonder under stuff to adhere to the fabric and the backing. I sewed a bright color thread around the edges so it wouldn't fray too bad. A little is good - But I didn't want the whole thing to unravel. Pretty simple pimple project to do. Love it.

Vero Hero came last week and now is off to Utah to visit a friend there. Can't wait for her to come home. Mikes been out of town but that's ok - it gives me more freedom to CRAFT!!!

January 2012. Had a great New Years with friends! David is home soon. March 2. Manu left us 8.( Vero hero is on her way!

My family has been busy and yet, slow.

Our italian student - Manuela DalMas has come to stay for the semester. We are learning a teeny tiny bit of Italian andshe is kicking butt in English. We have plenty of trips planned. Just finished a weekend in Las Vegas. Hollys birthday is this week. Sarah next month. David is doing great in Italy and is on the countdown. Mike and I just hit 22 years. Alrighty then.

July again. More Foreign Exchange students. This time from France. Two lovely girls named Marine and Marion. This is our summer fun. Veronika even came back for a 2 month visit. We are lucky to have her visit again.

David is doing wonderful in Italy. Hes in a little town called Trento, Italy up in the mountains. Its a little cooler up there and he is enjoying the weather and the people. the girls are enjoying their summer vacation. Holly starts this year in school as a High schooler. Sarah will be in 7th grade. We also have the fortune of having Manuela coming to visit from Italy this year and staying a semester. This will Help Holly in her Italian homework. lol.

Yeah - I had a fabulous Mother's day. It started off at 7:30 am with a Skype with our Missionary in Italy. He is looking good. Doing good and Enjoying Italy.

Then I took a little nap and was suprised with Breakfast in Bed. they were making WAFFLES. mmmmmmm. After that a little church then a meal at my sisters house provided by the men in the family. Very nice, very relaxing day.

I even got the night off to spend more time with my family. I love being a mom. I love my children and my MAN. Life is goot!!!

Computer issues

Hey ya'll.

I have had some computer issues for the last 3 months. hence - No blogs.

I am back. I have lots to say, but not tonight.

I will catch you all up on family business from Thanksgiving on in the near future.

Another school year.

Time for School photos. Missing my boy, but added a photo of him with the girls. It's amazing how time flies when your having fun, or missing your son. I have a wonderful friend who allowed me to borrow her nikon so I could get some shots of my girls. We love fall. The girls are growing up so quickly. To fall, children that grow up too fast, and missing my boy.
